This is our new L5P Duramax 2017-2023 stage 1 drop-in replacement turbo. As most already know we build some of the most reliable turbos on the market and we size the turbos to the trucks appropriately. We already have over 100k loaded miles on these turbos and they have performed phenomenally. We recommend if you're doing any amount of towing, you choose the 10-blade turbine wheel. They will come on a little faster and run cooler than the 9 blade options. If your still stock fuel and want all the truck has to offer and don't tow choose the 9-blade option. The 10-blade turbine option virtually works with all tuning options meaning you shouldn't need to retune your truck. If you want the 9-blade option, you will more than likely need a retune every tune and every truck is different so just be ready in case you do need to retune. As of now we only recommend PPEI or Motorops for tuning.
Turbo Specs:
1. Stock size 6x6 billet compressor wheel
2. Your choice of a 10-blade high flow turbine or a 9-blade
high flow turbine wheel. Stock size for both the 10 blade and 9 blade.
3. Built from new bearing housings.
4. New vane cages
5. Latest tech internals as far as oil flow and step gap oil seals on the turbine and compressor side.
6. Rotating assembly balanced down to at or less than .02 inch gram for trouble free turbo. We spend the extra time to balance down to virtually zero and go above and beyond factory speculations to ensure little to no harmonics/vibration occur. This ensures you get many years of a proper performing turbocharger.
7. We also do compressor housing machining to open the mouth or inlet of the turbo as much as possible before surging occures
These turbos will come with a 2 year warranty. You will reuse your old actuator from your factory turbo and install on your new turbo. These are built to order we generally need a few days to build.
